ANGIE DIVINO
The world lost one of the most loving, caring people today; Angie Divino, died on June 26, 2012.
Born in San Vittorino, Italy in November of 1927, she came to the United States in 1940 at the age of 12. She loved the United States and the freedom and opportunities living here offered her and her family. Never having the opportunity to be educated she stressed the importance of education to her children and grandchildren. She was known for her kind and loving nature and frequently went out of her way to help people. She was a fabulous cook and no one ever left her home hungry. In fact they would often leave with enough food to carry them through the next week. She touched many lives and she will be greatly missed by so many people.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Domnick Divino, their daughter, Nancy Sadler, and her parents Americo and Elena Alberico, and sister, Vera Flynn.
She is survived by her: daughter, Cindy Divino (Dan); son, Ron Divino (Kelli); grandchildren, Matthew Sadler (Jodi), Daniel Sadler (Tiffany), Brian Sadler (Evelyn), Nicholas Quinlan, Zachary Quinlan, Torrie Divino, Mandie Divino, Baylie Divino; great-grandchildren, Drake Sadler, Luke Sadler, Stone Sadler, Maryn Sadler, Madelyn Sadler, her brothers, Ralph, Armand (Marian) and sisters Valene (George) and Diane (George).
A funeral mass will be held 11:00 am Monday July 2, 2012 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church 2840 South 9000 West, Magna, where friends and family may call at 9:30 am-10:45 am prior to services. Interment: Mount Calvary Cemetery. Condolences www.peelfuneralhome.com.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Boulder Institute for Psychotherapy and Research, a non-profit organization that treats disadvantaged children and families who have suffered sexual or physical abuse or other traumas. www. bipr.org
