Heaven gained another angel today March 1, 2018, Armando Jesus Martinez was born June 23, 1944 in Cedar Hill, New Mexico to Jose A. and Pauline Mary Garcia Martinez.

Armando graduated from Cyprus High School and went on to serve in the Army. He was a veteran and fought in Vietnam. When Armando returned home he worked for several years at the Magna Water Company and UTA in maintenance.

Armando is survived by his daughter, Crystal (Teo) Sanchez, brothers; LeRoy (Judy) Martinez, Vidaleto (Carla) Martinez, sisters; Frances Velasquez, Martha “Marti” (Jeff) Searle, grandsons; Ricardo, Christopher Baca, many nieces and nephews, too many to mention. He loved them all in his own way. He was a grumpy and grouchy man but that was his way.

There will be a Mass at 10 am, Friday March 9, 2018 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 2840 S 9000 W, Magna. Interment: Utah Veterans Memorial Park.
