Betty Hansen

Betty "Billie" M. Hansen, 91, passed away  on February 7, 2020 surrounded by family.

Billie was born April 5, 1928 in Lehi, Utah. She grew up in Magna Utah and attended Cyprus High School.  She attended Utah State in Logan, Utah.  She was married to Paul Hansen, her high school sweetheart on June 16, 1950 in the Salt Lake Temple.  They have been married almost 70 years.   She has been living in San Clemente, California since 1960.  Before that she lived in Albuquerque, New Mexico and Freeport, Illinois.   She was loved by all.  She provided countless hours of service to her church and community.  She loved all forms of outdoor activities.  Trout fishing on small rivers and streams were her favorite.  Her favorite places were Puffer Lake, Utah, Navajo Lake, Utah, the Kern River in California, and Halfway, Oregon.   She loved to travel and has covered the United States, Canada, all of Europe, Russia, and Scandinavia.

Billie is survived by her beloved husband, Paul Hansen, daughters Renea Wiegand, Gwen Harpster, and Gayle McDiarmid, son Bryan Hansen. Also nine grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.

She is proceeded in death by her father, mother, grandparents, and sister.

Services will be held Friday February 14 ,2020 at 11:00 am at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 West 2700 South, Magna, Utah. Internment: Valley View Memorial following services
