Beverly Williams Rose, 90, passed away peacefully at her home in Magna, Utah on December 11, 2024, just 8 days short of her 91st birthday, December 19, 1933. Born in Malad, Idaho to David G. and Cora Williams, she was the eldest of 7 siblings. Victor, (deceased) (Shirley), Marie Ahlstrom, Margene Pons, Genae Oswald (Bob), Lila Mae Fallows (deceased), and Roland (deceased).
Beverly married David E. Rose on May 18, 1951 in the Logan LDS temple. David passed away on June 28, 2014. They were the proud parents of 8 children. David LaDell (Cathy), Sandra Stewart (Rex), Sharla Allen (Duane), Dana Rasmussen (Kevin), Denece Sheppick (Mark), Luann Tucker (Tim), Elgin Kim (Laurie), and Lori Lape (Burton). Beverly leaves a large posterity behind. She has 60 grandchildren (including spouses) and 73 great-grandchildren. She has sent birthday cards to all of them every year, for many years.
Beverly was a devoted, self-sacrificing wife and mother with many talents. She excelled as a seamstress, crafting, quilting, puzzling and much more. She served faithfully in many church callings over her long life, including Relief Society President and many others. She enjoyed singing in the choir whenever she could. She was active and took care of herself right up until the very end of her life. She very much enjoyed her association with friends in Winter Haven in Washington, Utah, where she and David had a home and were members of the Trackers and Kickers adventuring group. She also enjoyed her time with the Harman Senior Recreation Center group in West Valley City.
Beverly and David were campers and spent summers traveling with their truck and trailer. In their later years they parked their trailer on the property she received as an inheritance from her family. They worked hard and made it a wonderful gathering place for the family named “The Cottonwoods”. She enjoyed spending time in the summers there with family.
Beverly will be deeply missed by her family and by all the lives she touched during her sojourn here on earth. We are grateful for the plan of salvation and the comfort we get from that knowledge.
A viewing will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Magna Stake Center, 8400 West 3100 South, Magna, Utah from 6 until 8 on Wednesday, December 18, 2024. Her funeral will be held there at 10 a.m. on Thursday, December 19, 2024, with a viewing that day one hour before at 9 a.m. Interment will be at the Malad City Cemetery, Malad, Idaho.
