Carla Curtis Lingwall

1945 ~ 2019

Carla Gayle Curtis Lingwall, age 73, passed away March 12, 2019 due to congestive heart failure. Carla was born in Long Beach, CA on April 12, 1945 to Doyle Willis Curtis and Mary Inez Jacobsen. She was the fourth of five children. She married her sweetheart, David Karl Lingwall July 9, 1965 in the Salt Lake Temple. David and Carla were blessed with six wonderful children, Linda, Clinton, Jeanine, Steven, Nathan and Brent.

Carla was devoted to her family. Her greatest joy in life was being a wife, mother and grandmother. She was always thinking of ways to help, love and teach them in
any way she could.

Carla spent her life in service to others. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting and made many beautiful gifts for others. She was always making meals to take to those in need, or treats for those who needed cheering up. She served faithfully in many callings in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints throughout her life and was indeed a true follower of Jesus Christ.

Carla is survived by her husband David, their children, Linda Clay (Michael), Clinton Lingwall (Ruth Ann), Jeanine Lundell Flygare (David), Steve Lingwall (Kristi), Nathan Lingwall
(Angela), and Brent Lingwall (Brianna); and 35 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at the L.D.S. Church at 3450 South 6400 West, West Valley City, Utah. Friends and family may call Friday rom 6-8 p.m. at L.D.S. Church at 3450 South 6400 West, and from 10:00-10:45 a.m. prior to the funeral on Saturday. Interment will follow at the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
