1954 ~ 2017

On Monday, October 2, 2017 at 11:45 pm, Cecilia Ramirez left this mortal existence to enter the warm embrace of her eternal and loving Father in Heaven and her Savior, Jesus Christ.

Born in humble circumstances in Mexico, she never forgot what was important in life.  She was and remains a loved wife, mother and grandmother.  Her legacy of love, service and inclusion will live in the hearts of those who had the opportunity to meet and to know her.

She taught her children to love the Lord and then showed them the example of Christlike love in all that she did.  If she had something, and thought that someone could use it more or needed it more, she would willingly give it up to them without thought of compensation.  She exemplified the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Over the last two years, during her struggle with cancer she continued to show her love for everyone taking the time to serve and share her testimony of her faith in what laid ahead for her.  During her last few days on this earth, she took the opportunity to teach her family and to bare her witness of the restored gospel, relying firmly upon her faith she slipped away into the eternal realms surrounded by many of those who loved her on both sides of the veil.

Her legacy will always shine bright in the hearts of those that love her.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 W. 2700 S., where viewings will be held both Monday 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday 10-11 a.m. Interment: Pleasant Green Cemetery.
