Cindy Grow Morton

“Forever in Our Hearts”

Cindy Morton, age 64, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2024. A beloved mother, sister, partner, and friend, Cindy touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Born on January 30, 1960, to Raymond and Phyllis (Pollock) Grow in Magna, UT, Cindy spent her formative years in her hometown. She was a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW, where she proudly served as Auxiliary President. For many years, Cindy worked at and managed the VFW Post 7398 in Magna, building countless lifelong friendships along the way. Later years took her to Bill’s Lounge and the State Liquor Store. She will be remembered for her kindness, and her willingness to help anyone in need.

Cindy cherished time spent with family and friends, often reminiscing about memories from the past. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, cooking, camping, ATVing, and being a devoted fur mom to her two dogs and two cats.

Cindy is survived by her partner, Eddie Rivera; her children: Reannan (Cliff) Jacobsen, Dustin (Becky) Barbieri, and Adrianne Morton; and her grandchildren: Trinity Zaelit, Kylie, Taiten, Lorilee and Dustin Jr. Barbieri, Landis Miller, Brandon (Heidi) Jacobsen, Shaneah Jacobsen, Breana Linkenhoker and two great-grandchildren, and one on the way. She is also survived by her siblings: Karen (Troy) Christensen, Jim (Kim) Grow, and Kelly (Chris) Grow; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, two bonus daughters Jeanette (Andy) Scholz and Jessica Heurta, along with four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and the entire Rivera family.

Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Phyllis. Her memory will be forever cherished by all who had the honor of knowing her.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 25, 2024, from 6-8 p.m. at Peel’s Funeral Home: 8525 W. 2700 S., Magna, UT 84044
