1959 ~ 2018
Connie had the most wonderful spirit. She would give what she could to anyone that was in need. The warmth of her embrace, the picture of her smile and her heart were in everything she did. She was mom, grandma and friend to countless people. To her family, she was the most amazing woman in this world.
If you were to ask what her biggest accomplishment in life was, she would say, “MY KIDS”. She was the best mom. She enjoyed cooking and saved so many recipes! She loved singing karaoke, listening to country music and rock, and watching movies. She loved wolves of any kind, and one of her favorite things to collect was wind chimes. She loved the way they sounded in the wind. Connie loved her dogs, Oso and Suki, and her bird, Odis.
Connie worked with children with disabilities at the West Jordan Care Center, and loved those kids like her own. Then, she became a bus driver for UTA for many years, and enjoyed working with people every day. She met the love of her life Dallis Hicks, and they spent the last 18 years making memories together. One thing Connie would never say is, “goodbye”. Instead, you would hear her say, “See you later” or “tootle-oo”.
She will be missed by so many and her legacy will live on with all who were fortunate to know her.
