Our beloved sister, aunt, and friend, Connie Steed, left us peacefully early in the morning of September 28, 2023 to return to her Heavenly Father. She was born April 3, 1948. She is the daughter of Elmer J Steed and Mary Jean Lamb. She is survived by her siblings Peggy Jean Henderson (Bruce), Teri Howell (Skip), and Jon Steed (Claire). She was kind, loving, and generous to all those who were part of her life. Her wry sense of humor and her “tell it like it is” attitude made her endearing to all.
She loved spending time with family, especially her nieces and nephews who all adored her. She always looked out for and worried about all of her loved ones. She loved her family dearly, but her dogs were her true joy in life. She loved them and they loved her. Any dog in her life knew they were going to be pampered with treats, hugs, and kisses whenever she was around.
She lived for many years with her good friend, Boni Kraft, and together they enjoyed traveling, gardening, opera and theater. She was an avid reader and excelled in the art of stained glass and delicate cross stitch.
She was a credit manager and a member of NACM. She was employed by Intermountain Electric, Pyke Manufacturing, Rasmussen Equipment, and Kenworth Sales, where she enjoyed working with her colleagues and many clients. Her knowledge and friendly attitude made her an excellent credit manager.
To be a part of her life was one of the best blessings anyone could ever have. She will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Our family would like to express gratitude for the employees at Stan's Market who were so kind and loving to her for so many years. She considered them family and we thank them so much for that. We would also like to express gratitude to the family members and neighbors who helped her and to Rocky Mountain Hospice for their loving care towards the end.
