Our beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend passed away on January 7, 2017. Craig was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to Louis James Posselli and Elaine Helen Mounteer Posselli on November 4, 1946. He was best known as a superb cook, passionate fisherman and dedicated and loving grandfather. He loved nothing more than to cook a spaghetti dinner with all the trimmings for his family and friends and often volunteered to “cater” special events. He proudly displayed a 44 pound lake trout on the wall of his home as a symbol of the many pleasurable and gratifying hours he spent fishing at Flaming Gorge, and all types of waters over the past 50 years. However, Craig’s greatest love and happiness was with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was so proud of the fine people they have become and cherished every moment he was able to spend with them.
Craig worked for Salt Lake City Corporation for 37 years, rising from a laborer at the age of 18 to ending his career as the Superintendent of Streets and Sanitation. A strong willed, tenacious man with a soft heart Craig will be remembered for his zest and love of life.
Craig is survived by his wife, Linda, sons, Craig Parrish Posselli, Brett Louis Posselli, Kreston Posselli, step sons, Christopher Yeates and Michael Yeates, sisters Linda (Mike) Earl, Brenda (Mike) Davis and Claudia (John) Jacobson. Grandchildren: Tyler (Mykell) Posselli, Christina (Matt) Withers, Alexander Yeates, Cassandra Yeates, Thomas Posselli, Cassie Posselli and Kylee Posselli.
