David Elgin Rose

September 22, 1932 - June 28, 2014

David Elgin Rose, 81, passed away June 28, 2014, at home in Magna, UT of natural causes. He was born in Malad, ID September 22, 1932 to Elgin K. and Gladys Roberts Rose. Married Beverly Williams in the Logan Temple May 18, 1951. He served as Ward and Assistant Stake Clerk for over 17 years. He served in the Salt Lake and Jordan River Temples. He enjoyed camping, and winters in Washington, UT. He retired after 30 years at Utah Power & Light. He is survived by his wife, Beverly; his children, David LaDell (Cathy), Sandra (Rex Stewart), Sharla (Duane Allen), Dana (Kevin Rasmussen), Denece (Mark Sheppick), Luann (Timothy Tucker), Elgin Kim (Laurie), and Lori (Burton Lape); 17 grandsons, 17 granddaughters, 30 great-grandsons, 30 great-granddaughters; and sisters, Monta Maddy, Linda (Jim Langford). Preceded in death by his parents and brother, Doyle Kim Rose.

Funeral services Thursday, July 3, 2014, 10 am at the Elk Run Chapel, 3610 S. 8400 W. Magna. Viewings will be held Wednesday July 2, 2014, 6-8 pm at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 W. 2700 S., and Thursday 9-9:45 am at the church.
