“Best barber ever”
Dean Kidd Sheppick, born November 15, 1933 to Claude and Bernice Kidd Sheppick in Magna, UT. Dean passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at his home in St. George, UT on Saturday June 4, 2016. Dean married Marilyn J. Smith on July 20, 1984. For over 50 years, Dean enjoyed cutting hair. “Dean’s Barber Shop” will always be remembered as the best barbershop in Magna. Dean loved playing pool, fishing, and building derby cars. He also loved photography, and was very good at it. And, he loved his dog, Buddy. Dean graduated from Cyprus High School in 1952 and joined the US Army serving in the Korean War. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; his children, Kyle (Robin), Julie, Tammy Sheppick, and their mother, Verlene DelPorto; Marilyn’s children, Debbie (Charlie) Calobeer, Lonnie (Monica) Besst, Annette (Greg) Laufer, and Cheryl (Shawn) Davis; 16 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Claude Jr. and Bill Sheppick; sister, Shirley Holbrook.
