DeLoy L. Walker

DeLoy L. Walker was born on November 17, 1936, to Thomas and Lily Larsen. She was 86 when she passed away on January 10, 2023.

Growing up,  DeLoy expressed her talent through drawing. As she entered adulthood her talents expanded into sewing, crocheting, cooking, and designing many unique craft projects.

DeLoy married her lifelong husband of 61 years, David E. Walker. Together they raised 6 children in their Kearns home, where they lived from 1956 until they left this earth. 

DeLoy was a dedicated member of the Jehovah's Witnesses. She proudly served Jehovah for over 40 years. Over the years she made many wonderful friends. 

DeLoy will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She was a great example of patience, kindness, and love. She always showed much love to everyone she came in contact with. 

She is survived by her four children, Cinnthea W. Henline, Carl Walker, Paul Walker, and Lisa (Shawn) Ortega; sons-in-law, Clifford Forney and Ray Allen; sisters, Coralene Rawson, Nettie Mellor, and Karla Allard; brother, Thomas J. Larsen, 15 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and many great-great-grandchildren. 

She is preceded in death by her husband, David Walker; daughters, Lila Forney, and Lora Allen; son-in-law, Richard Henline; great-grandson, Ryan Osborne; and sister, Erma Johnson.

All are welcome to attend a ceremony in her honor on October 23, 2024, from 2:00 to 3:15 p.m. at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 W. Magna Main Street, Magna, UT.

Interment will follow at 3:30 pm at the Pleasant Green Cemetery, 9200 W. 3500 S., Magna, UT.
