"Denny"

Denny Bolton, 82, of West Valley City, Utah passed away on April 17,2024 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 29, 1941, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Franklin Ray Bolton and Leona Mathison. Known by all as Denny, he married Susan Laural Buckner November 12, 1973. 

Denny graduated in 1960 from Granger High School and went on to graduate from Salt Lake community College with a degree in carpentry. 

Denny had a fulfilling career, working 20 years at Kennecott Copper and later retiring from Kearns High School in the Granite School District.

Denny was an avid weightlifter and loved to ride his custom-made Harley. He enjoyed being outdoors, camping, fishing and working in his yard. 

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Susan; his sons, Denny Jr (Latisha) and Chad (Kristin); his daughters, Penny Jelan (Barry), Brandi Orr (Marty), and Brooke Ealey (Lex); brother, Brent (Wendy); as well as 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Denny was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Jerry (Marian).

The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude and love to the staff at Beehive Home of Riverton. These amazing people genuinely and lovingly cared for Denny during the last 15 months of his life. They will always be a special part of our family. 

Rest in peace, Denny. Your memory will forever be cherished by all who knew and loved you.

On Tuesday, April 23, 2024, a viewing will be held between 10:00-11:30am at Peel Mortuary, located at 8525 West 2700 South Magna, Utah, followed by a graveside service at 12:00pm at Valley View Memorial Park, 4100 South 4400 West, West Valley City.
