Donna Chavez

Donna Mondragon Chavez took St. Michael's hand and went to her Heavenly home April 5, 2014. She was always a woman of great faith and a follower of Jesus Christ and His gospel and was a devoted, committed Catholic. She was born February 18, 1939 to Carlos and Lupe Mondragon in Taos, NM. On August 20, 1966 she married Bernard "Paul" Chavez. Four years later they adopted their precious angel, Tamara, a unique gift from God. Together they all shared a love that was unbroken and unconditional. Donna made friends easily and had many around the West. She, Paul, and Tamara lived to help those less fortunate than themselves. She is survived by her husband; daughter; son-in-law, Chance; grandsons, Travis and Curtis; great granddaughter, Arriana Rose; 2 sisters and 4 brothers; and numerous nieces, nephews, and many, many friends... all of whom she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, a sister, niece, in-laws, and 3 brothers-in-law.

Funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 2840 S. 9000 W., Magna, where viewing will be held Friday 5-7 p.m. with a Rosary at 7 p.m. and Saturday 9-9:45 a.m. prior to Mass. Committal will be held 10 a.m. Monday, April 14, 2014 at Utah Veterans Memorial Park, 17111 S. Redwood Rd.

In lieu of flowers, Donna has requested donations be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Building Fund, her beloved church.
