Dorene Joy (Christensen) Sadler Muller
November 3, 1929 – October 25, 2024
Dorene Joy (Christensen) Sadler Muller, beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend passed away Friday, October 25, 2024, at the age of 94 at her residence in West Valley City. She was born November 3, 1929, in Garfield, Utah to the late Ferron and Violet Christensen.
Dorene’s greatest joy was her family who she loves very much. Her greatest roles were that of being “Mom” and “Grandma”. She stayed home for many years spending time with and raising her 8 children as well as visiting and spending time with her 21 grandchildren and many great grand grandchildren. Later, she worked for Varian in Salt Lake City for 10 to 15 years before retiring.
One of her greatest strengths was that of being a strong and independent woman throughout her life especially with the challenges she faced. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered in the hearts of her family and of those who knew and loved her.
Dorene is survived by her brother, Myron (Lola) Christensen; her sister, Vicky Fries; her children, Terry (Chari) Sadler, Dennis Wayne (Delayne) Sadler, Pam Moody, Lisa (Victor) Lora, Stacy Jastram and Frank Muller; and her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Donna Kelson, Janet Newbold, and Karen Jensen; her husbands, Jay Sadler and George Muller; two sons, Randy Sadler and Andrew Muller, two sons-in-law, Duane Moody and James Jastram.
A very special thank you to the Intermountain Health Hospice Team, especially nurse Rebekah, and to the members of her LDS Hunter 20th Ward family, her ministering sisters, especially Robyn who she became a very close friend to for many years.
A Graveside service will be held on Friday, 1 November 2024, at 12:30 p.m. at Memorial Redwood Estates Cemetery, 6500 S Redwood Rd, West Jordan, UT. A family-only viewing will precede the service at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 W 2700 S, Magna, UT.
