Dorothy Wasilewski Dean
Dorothy June Wasilewski Dean returned home to her heavenly Father on June 14, 2012 at the age of 83. She passed peacefully and was surrounded by her loved ones. "Dottie" was born June 22, 1928 in Athens, Illinois to Nina Elizabeth Pierceall and Benjamin Mark Wasilewski. She met the love of her life, and soon was married to Lynn Dean in Washington D.C. on February 6, 1952. A member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, she held numerous callings throughout the years. Dottie had the first 6 of 9 children in Salt Lake City, Utah. She and Lynn continued their adventure in the wilds of Alaska. They were blessed with 3 more children, and met some of the best and closest friends they would ever have. After years of being a homemaker, and with her children grown, she started two businesses; Master Broker Demos Services, and Dottie's Demos. Business was more successful than she had anticipated, so she sold them to spend more time enjoying time with her 44 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren. She served 2 missions, one with her husband Lynn in Toronto, Canada; the other at Welfare Square in Utah. She is preceded in death by her parents, a sister, and two brothers. She is survived by her husband Lynn, sons David (Deborah), Mark (Jaelyn), Gordon (Alice), Daniel (Beverly), James (Mindy), Charles (Tonya), and Patrick (Melissa); and daughters Lynda Carley and Kristi (Steve) Mixon. Funeral Services will be held Monday, June 18, 2012 at 1:00pm at the LDS Chapel on 300 East and 3200 South in Salt Lake City. A viewing will be held before the service from 11:30 to 12:45.
