Dorothy Barnes Haskell
Dorothy B. Haskell – Was born January 23, 1927 in Logan Utah to Herbert Claude and Annie Womack Barnes. She passed away on September 4, 2018 on her 71st wedding anniversary to be reunited with her husband Orvis Otto Haskell. Dorothy and Orvis were married on September 4 1947 in Elko, NV.
Dorothy had 3 beloved sisters; Florence, Mae and Katherine whom she had fond memories of. Dorothy was blessed with three beautiful children; Dee Barnes (Terri), Larry Haskell, and Marlene Cavanee (Dan). She also had the joy of having 8 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren that she adored.
Dorothy lived in Logan, Utah and Idaho before moving to Magna Utah where she lived most of her life. She worked for several years at Colosomo’s Market in Magna UT. During the last year of her life she was cared for by Legacy Assisted Living.
She loved all animals especially her dogs and cats. She had a great love for all her children and grandchildren.
We would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Dietline, Meggan Newbold from hospice, and the care center staff who cared for Dorothy this past year.
Funeral Services will be held at 12 noon September 8, 2018 Peel Funeral Home: 8525 W. 2700 S. Magna. Visitation will be 11-11:45 am prior to services. Interment: Pleasant Green Cemetery.
