Edna Latham Weyland

Edna Latham Weyland passed away on August 14, 2010. Edna was born in 1933, the seventh child of George and Edna Harkness Latham. She was raised by her father and step-mother, George and Grace Latham, following the death of her mother, resulting from childbirth complications. Edna married Ross Weyland in 1951 and together they had six children.

Life was sometimes a struggle but there were many good times getting together with family and friends. Edna was an expert at reading schematic drawings and building circuit boards. She worked many years for medical electronic firms. After retiring, she worked part time at the Utah Tax Commission. Edna enjoyed going to Wendover and WINNING! She was always happy to see her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The saddest day was losing her son, Rick, to cancer in 2008. Life was never the same after his passing. Edna is survived by her husband, one brother Ron Latham, and five of her six children, Betty (David) Anderson, Kathie (Paul) Lilenquist, Viola (Douglas) Bodrero, Doreen Weyland, and Terrie (Roy) Williams, thirteen grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

A visitation for family and friends will be held at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 West 2700 South, Magna, on Tuesday, August 17, 2010, from 6:30 to 8:00 P.M.  A private family service will be held at a later time.
