Elmer J "Buddy" Steed passed away peacefully at home Friday July 13, 2012. He was born Sept. 3, 1927 in Plymouth, UT to Joseph Henry Steed and Mary Elizabeth Rudd. He married his sweetheart, Mary Jean Lamb on Jan 7, 1947 in the Manti Utah Temple, and was a tender caregiver to her throughout many years of her life. Elmer loved his family, working in his shop and music. He served in WWII and sang with the Beehive Statesmen Chorus for 25 years. He was a high priest in the LDS church. Elmer's delightful wit and humor charmed everyone. He was a friend to all and never spoke an unkind word. He is survived by his 4 children, Connie Steed, Peggy (Bruce) Henderson, Teri (Brent) Howell, and Jon (Claire) Steed, 12 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings and dear loving wife.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, July 19, 2012 at the Lake Ridge 11 th Ward, 7825 W. Sharon Dr. (3340 S.).  Friends and family may call Wednesday 6-8 p.m. at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 W. 2700 S., Magna, and Thursday 10-10:45 a.m. at the church.  Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.  Online condolences: www.peelfuneralhome.com
