Our beloved wife, daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend Evelyn Madge (Stephenson) Thomasson, 66, of Salt Lake City passed away peacefully on July 19, 2024, after a yearslong battle with cancer 

She was born Evelyn Madge Stephenson on September 9, 1957, in Twin Falls, Idaho to Charles W Stephenson and Mary Evelyn (Darnell) Stephenson.

She married Walter Anthony (Tony) Thomasson on November 7, 1978, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Tony on December 30, 2003; and brothers; Caroll on April 7, 1953, Christopher on September 18, 2015, and Martin on April 29, 2016.

She is survived by her children, Amanda Madge Jarrett (Nick, deceased) of Salt Lake City, Utah; and Anthony Charles Thomasson (Natalie) of Salt Lake City; her brothers, Charles D. Stephenson, Salt Lake City, Utah; and Philip L. Stephenson (Amy), Kaysville, Utah; her 4 grandchildren, Kodee, Jaxson, Oaklee, and Emilee; and her 6 nieces and nephews.

She attended grade school at Bishop Glass in Salt Lake City. She then attended and graduated high school at Judge Memorial in Salt Lake City.

She worked for many years at Trophies Inc., a family-run and owned business in Salt Lake City. She was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. 

She was a talented bowler and achieved a 700 series at a young age. She enjoyed collecting antiques and collectibles and would frequent yard sales and swapmeets regularly. She also enjoyed cooking for her family, fishing and camping.
