Evelyn Faye Peck Thorne

Evelyn Faye Peck Thorne passed away peacefully on October 24, 2013 at the age of 90.  She was born May 30, 1923 in Provo, Utah to Leo Augusta Peck and Hazel Maude Goddard Peck. She married Virgil J Thorne on January 26, 1948 in Magna, Utah.  Evelyn enjoyed camping and fishing with her family. She loved to go to Donkey Reservoir, where it was faster to hike in than to drive.  She was an outstanding seamstress and loved to quilt blankets for her family. She was a leader in the Cub Scouts and involved with the Boy Scouts of America. She would support any scout in their activities.  She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She is survived by 6 Children and 2 Step-Children: Richard (Nancy), Wayne (Karen), Vickie, Mark (Kathy) Sandra Bailey (Crestin), Dale (Charlene), Bill, Ron (Susan), 26 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Virgil, her parents, 3 brothers, 4 sisters and a daughter-in-law. The family would like to thank the wonderful people at the Rocky Mountain Care Center, Riverton.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at the Glenmoor 3 ^rd Ward, 9455 S. 4800 W., where viewings will be held on Monday, October 28, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services.
