Our beloved father and grandfather, Felix Albert Vaclavik passed away August 8, 2014 in Taylorsville, UT. He was born January 14, 1927 in Waco, TX. He married Olivia Martinez on May 2, 1952. Dad served in the US Navy and the US Army. He retired from Utah State Corrections after 22 years, and operated a radio and TV repair shop in Magna for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, trips to Wendover, and playing country music with his guitar. He worked hard to provide for his family, they meant everything to him. He is survived by his children, Nancy Hall, Ron (Wendy), Linda (Rick) Braithwaite, Ann Marie Thomas, and Alan (Kristy); 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; and his best friend, Shadow. Preceded in death by his wife, Olivia. The family would like to express their thanks to the staffs of Heartwood Home Health and Avalon West Care Center, and the amazing staff of Bristol Hospice.
Funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 2840 S. 9000 W. A viewing will be held Tuesday 6-7 p.m. with a Rosary at 7 p.m. at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 W. 2700 S. Committal: Utah Veterans Memorial Park. Online condolences: www.peelfuneralhome.com
