GAVIN KELLY FOLKESTAD
July 1984 – September 2015
On Friday, September 25, 2015 Gavin Kelly Folkestad returned home to his loving Heavenly Father.
Gavin is survived by his loving wife and eternal companion, Kelsey Jensen Folkestad. They were sealed in the Draper, UT LDS Temple on October 15, 2011. He is also survived by his dad, Jim (JoAnne) Folkestad; mom, Kelly (Dennis) Robson; brother, Quinlan (Talia) Folkestad; sister, Marian Bailey Folkestad Neal; grandmothers, Marian I. Devoll and Irene Wilson; in-laws, Kenneth and Sandra Jensen, Kendra (Norman) Turner; and nieces and nephews.
Gavin is preceded in death by his uncle, Tracy; grandfather, J.L.; cousin, Dawn; and many of his military buddies.
Gavin was born July 12, 1984 in Palmer, Alaska. He served his country in the United States Air Force; he loved his country and was proud to serve. He loved growing up in Alaska, fishing and shooting guns, and his dog, Moe. He was such a people person and would help anybody if he could. He will be deeply missed.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, October 2, 2015 at the Spencer 4 th Ward, 8181 W. 3320 S. Viewing will be held Thursday 6-8 p.m. at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 W. 2700 S., and Friday 10-10:45 a.m. before services. Interment: Utah Veterans Memorial Park.
