Gay Malmborg Flesher

Gay Malmborg Flesher was born on April 4, 1952, to Walter G. and Audrey Matthews Malmborg. The 4th of 6 children, she learned to fend for herself with a strong personality and determination that all who knew her were blessed to experience. Her family was close growing up and her sisters were by her side until the end.

She graduated from Cyprus High School in 1970. Her school friends were key throughout her life. Always including her and making sure she was well cared for.

She served a mission for the LDS church from 1973 to 1974. And made a career out of her service for the church and her Savior... Whom she loved with all of her heart, as well as unprecedented kindness to those in need. 

In 1976 Gay and Charles (Chuck) Flesher were married and in 1978 Candace joined their family. She was a wonderful mother. Supporting herself and Candace by furthering her education and becoming skilled in auto mechanics among other things.

She loved to road trip and many memories were formed through years of driving with Candace.... And others. She taught her family to love God and work hard. Her life was enriched by everyone she knew, especially her 5 Beautiful Granddaughters and 1 Handsome Grandson.

We are sad to see her go. But know what a blessing it is for her to be reunited with her parents, siblings, and other loved ones who preceded her.

We would love for her family and friends to join us as we say goodbye and celebrate her life. There will be an informal gathering held at her church on February 15, 2025, at 2:00 pm at 8059 W. 2700 S., Magna Utah. Come, visit, and reminisce with us.

Her final affairs are being handled by Peel Funeral Home with our deepest gratitude. Also a very special thank you to her nurses and other caregivers who made her final months so much easier.
