GEORGE AUNDRE NOVAK
1941 ~ 2021
George Aundre Novak (79) passed away 8/29/2021, happy to be with Jesus and out of pain. He was born October 7, 1941, in Magna, Utah, to Joseph G. and Mary M. Novak. George graduated from the University of Utah, and among many other positions he was a paralegal. He was an avid fly fisherman and a master flytier. He was also an accomplished and talented piano player. He shared his joy with his long time dear friend and encouraging supporter, Eleanor.
George had a great fondness for books and was a lifelong learner. He was often thought of as a "walking dictionary" and could spell anything. He was extremely knowledgeable without being overbearing. Always upbeat and cheerful, friendly, and outgoing, he made many friends at Riverway. Among his friends he was grateful for Kim's help and support.
His parents, sister Mary (Ernest) Colosimo, nephew Ralph, and brother Joe preceded him in death. He is survived by nieces and nephews Monica, Cynthia, Danny, Charlie, Peggy, Rebecca, and Joe H. George was a loving Uncle to them and some of their fond memories are Wintergreen Certs in his shirt pocket, his "magical" Polaroid camera, his love of chocolate covered cherries, and calling Mary "Sis." "I'll see ya when I see ya."
A gathering for friends and family will be held from 10:00 am to noon on Friday, September 3, 2021 at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 W 2700 S, Magna, Utah 84044.
