Ada Gladys James Meadows
1913 - 2012
Gladys Meadows, 98, died at her home in West Valley City, Ut., of natural causes incident to age, 3 July, 2012. Her amazing Journey through life began, 16 Sept. 1913 on a rural farm in Ashland, Mississippi, in the horse and buggy days. She was the eldest of nine children, born to Herman Lee and Donie Azilee Childers James. Gladys married Jacob Jackson Meadows, 22 Nov. 1930 and later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, 30 April 1951.
Jake, Gladys and family moved to SLC, Ut. 1954. Gladys never thought she would live to this age and witness the changes that have occurred. She lived through the Great Depression, World War II, Man on the Moon and the great computer age. She enjoyed sending e-mails, growing the most beautiful garden, which she generously shared with others, and found great satisfaction in researching family history and developing volumes of genealogy.
Gladys is survived by two sisters; Geneva, Glenora, brother; David Dewayne, Six children; Katherine (Dee-deceased), Kyle (Ann), Kenneth (Sharon), Kluann (Keith), Karma (Mike-deceased) Kevin (Lynette), 35 grandchildren, 101 great grandchildren, 85 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 5 siblings, 5 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild.

Funeral service will be held Monday, 9 July 2012 11:00 a.m. at the Sunnyvale Ward, 3678 Oldham Street (4180 West) West Valley City. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Sunday evening at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 West 2700 South, Magna, Ut. and 10-10:45 am prior to service at the church on Monday. Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.
