A mountain of a man with a heart of gold. Guy could make any room light up with that unforgettable smile. He could make any mood or situation lighter. His smartass comments, one-liners and overall great sense of humor will be missed by all who knew him. His BBQ and his newest Pinterest recipes will be missed and the holidays will never be the same without him.

Guy built an empire with a true love story and 8 children that he worked very hard for and was most proud of, which now has become his greatest legacy. He was the best husband who knew through intuition what was needed, always thinking of the little things that made life easier, that he knew would bring a smile and let her know how much she was loved daily. He was a father who loved hard and fought harder to help his kids see the potential that he saw in them. He made himself available for everything they needed and wrapped his whole life around each of them by being completely involved with the activities they each loved.

Guy didn't stop at his own kids, he spent years coaching baseball, football and basketball as well as being a Boy Scout leader. Every single kid he coached and all the kids' friends became part of the family and many still call him dad.

Guy is preceded in death by his father whom was his biggest hero and he leaves behind his loving wife, Amber; and 8 children, Zachary, Sheldon (Jerica), Michael, Justin (Jadzia), Dakota, Josh, Kaylee, and his precious, Hunter; as well as his granddaughter, Payton; his mama; his brothers, sisters, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 12 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 W. 2700 S., where v iewings will be held Tuesday, March 1, 2016 from 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday 11-11:45 a.m. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Online condolences: www.peelfuneralhome.com
