1924 - 2010

MAGNA-It all started on a sunny day October 23, 1924. Hal William Fowkes left this world on July 8, 2010.  He was born in Nephi, Utah to Thomas Gerald and Louise "Lela" Broadhead Fowkes.  He married the love of his life, Stella Titus March 14, 1952 in the Manti LDS Temple; she died January 13, 2004.

Hal served honorably in the US Army.  He was an active member of the LDS Church where he served 3 missions.  He retired from Chicago Bridge and Iron, enjoyed golfing, and loved his grandkids.  His sense of humor and sweet nature made everyone he met love him.

He is survived by his children, Lynn Bearnson, David (Lindy) Fowkes, Bruce (Karla) Fowkes, Suzanne (Gary) Chavez, and Robyn (Rick) Stam; 7 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Renee Belliston, Sharon (Lynn) Balle, Lee (Jean) Fowkes, and Don (Sharliss) Fowkes.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Stella; and sister, Elaine Llewelyn.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 14, 2010 in the Magna Central Stake Center, 8181 W. 3320 S.  Friends and family may call Tuesday 6-8 p.m. at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 W. 2700 S., and Wednesday 10-10:45 a.m. at the church.  Interment: Midway Cemetery.  Online condolences: www.peelfuneralhome.com
