HELEN ERMA GARRISH MILLS COLLINGS

"Sunshine Lady"

MAGNA- Helen Mills Collings passed away March 23, 2012. She was born July 29, 1924 in Salt Lake City to Karlton H. and Esther M. Anderson Garrish. Helen married Howard Francis Mills October 23, 1968 in Magna, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Jordan River Temple in 1986. Howard passed away December of 1994. She then married Bill Collings June 6, 2010 in Magna, Utah.
Helen worked for American Strevell doing general office work for 25 years. She was an active member of the LDS church where she served 2 years as Stake missionary. She also served part time as a record locater missionary for many years. Helen was a temple ordinance worker for several years at the Salt Lake Temple. Helen will forever be known as the most grateful and positive person.
Helen is survived by her husband Bill, children, Kevin (VaLene) Collings, Linda (Jeff) Miller, Kerry (Carol) Collings, Chad (Sherrie) Collings, Corinne (Steve) Howick, Lori (James) La Due, Shaun (Jeanell) Collings, brother, Wilbert (Jeanette) Garrish, daughter, Francine K. (Tom) Giles, 23 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 11 am, Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at the Magna Stake Center, 3084 South 8400 West, Magna. Visitations will be 6-8 pm, Monday at March 26, 2012 at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 West 2700 South, Magna and 10-10:45 am prior to services at the church.
