With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Howard Max Stanworth. On December 17, 2021 Max died surrounded by his family. Howard Max Stanworth was born July 22, 1933 in Delta, Utah to George and Ethel Stanworth where he resided until he joined the U.S. Army.  He served proudly during the Korean War.

Max married the love of his life, MaeJean Hanson on May 24, 1958; they were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple.  Together they had eight children, 18 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.

Max dedicated his life to providing and caring for his family.  He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  Max and MaeJean served as senior couple missionaries in Detroit Michigan.  They also enjoyed working in the Jordan River Temple for several years.

Max was a devoted husband and father.  He enjoyed spending time with his family more than anything else.  He also enjoyed cooking, gardening, and attending BYU football and basketball games.

Max is preceded in death by their triplets Darlene, Doreen and Pauline, four brothers and a sister; Conard (NaRae), Wardell (Janet) Lyle (Anna Lou) Pat and Joyce Mcdermaid.  Sister in law Jane Stanworth.  3 sons in laws: Scott Taylor, Chris Grondahl, Michael Trapp

Max is survived by his beautiful wife of 63 years MaeJean and five of their children Maxine Trapp, Janeen Grondahl, Lyla Mae Taylor, Wyatt (Heidi) Stanworth, Wayne (Karen) Stanworth.  A brother Mike Stanworth and Sister and Brother in laws Shelly Stanworth and Ross McDermaid and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 12 noon Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at Hunter 20th Ward, 7025 W. 2605 S.
