Ida Mae Jackson Olsen

December 26, 1940 - July 9, 2016

Ida Mae was born on December 26, 1940 in Lehi Utah. She passed peacefully in her home in Magna on July 9, 2016.

Ida Mae married Gary Olsen on September 28, 1962 in the Manti Temple. She was a school teacher at Hunter Elementary School for over 20 years.  She enjoyed quilting and sewing and spending time with her family and friends.  She served faithfully and helped many others in her various callings in the LDS church.

Ida Mae is survived by her husband, Gary; children, Dean Olsen(Sarah), Layton, UT, Brad Olsen(Kristi), Mendon, Utah; Teresa Forster (Mark), Kathleen, Georgia; brother, Ray; sisters, Donna and Renee; 11 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Dalene Ellefsen; son, Duane; and grand-daughter, Morgan.

Graveside services will be held 12 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at the Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 S. Redwood Rd. Viewings will be held Monday 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday 10:30-11:30 a.m. at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 W. 2700 S. Online condolences: www.peelfuneralhome.com
