Ilene Olson Waldron

1942 ~ 2021

MAGNA – Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, Ilene Olson Waldron, 78, passed away at home surrounded by her family on February 24, 2021.

She was born on August 15th, 1942 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Norman Irvin and Helen Lerene Koehn Olson.  She graduated from Murray High School in 1961. She married Stephen Ernest Waldron on November 12th, 1965 in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple; he passed away October 1st, 1998.

She devoted her life to her children, leaving her position as typist for the LDS church when her first child was born.   She was an active member in the LDS PG 4th Ward and served as a primary teacher for 40 years.  Her legacy will live on in the many family traditions that she helped to establish, including our annual Easter Party.  She was a loving, caring, and giving women who has a special place in the hearts of all that knew her. She will be greatly missed.

Survived by her children, Dan (Shanna) Waldron, and Tammy (Ramon) Ramos; grandchildren, Trevor, Coty, and Sanyae; great-grandchildren, Alyluh, Caidyn, Cashyr, Braylin, and Lyra; siblings, Joan (Bob) Weaver, Louise Porter, and Norman (Vickie) Olson; brother-in-law, LeGrande Tracy. Preceded in death by parents, husband, and sister, LaRue Tracy.

Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.
