Ira Clinton Sly

1927 - 2010

Ira Clinton Sly, age 83, passed away December 12, 2010 in Riverton, UT.  He was born July 21, 1927 in Los Angeles, CA to Clinton and Ida Marie Carter Sly.  He married Geraldine Hawks in 1949; she died in 1995.

Ira was a 32 ^nd degree Mason and a Worthy Patron of the Eastern Star Ada Chapter 15. Ira belonged to both the La Sal and Christopher Diehl Lodges, and just received his 50 year pin.  He worked as a master carpenter in his own business.

He is survived by his children, James (Linda), Dennis T. (Suzanne), Teressa (Bob) Bowerbank, Tanny (Gary) Julian, Ira "Shorty" (Michelle), and Teena (Bill) Bowerbank; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and special friend, Arloene.

He was preceded in death by wife, Geraldine; son, Andy Clinton; grandson, Sean; 1 brother; and 4 sisters.
