Jack Starika

Jack William Starika

1937 ~ 2022

Jack was born October 13, 1937, in Consumers, Utah to Lud J and Lenora J Baird Starika.

He attended Cyprus High School in Magna, UT where he was a member of the 1955 Class B Utah State Basketball championship team.

He married JoAnn Meik in 1955 and had three children. They later divorced.
He married Maureen Wilcken in 1975. They later divorced. He married Elaine Powell in 1982.

Dad coached baseball at Kearns American Little League for several years and later served as President.  He also coached "The Hawks" at the Kearns Youth Center.

Dad was an excellent pool player and won several awards throughout the years. When he was younger, he was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed the outdoors.

Dad had a very quick wit that kept you on your toes and he teased everyone he could, whenever he could. He always had a twinkle in his eye, so you never really knew when he was pulling your leg

Dad was preceded by his parents, sister Boots; wife, Elaine; great-grandson, Kobe; and his faithful companions, Spike the Showdog; and his sweet girl, Hannah.

Jack is survived by his special friend, Georgia Hardy; his children, Jackie (Mike) Kirk, Scott Starika, Michelle (Joe) Greene; grandchildren, Nick (Jacquie) Kirk, Adam (Delmy) Starika, Melissa (Tracy) Snow; and great-grandchildren, Anissa and Mikala Kirk, Braden, Maxwell, and Kennedy Starika, and Austin and Emily Snow
