Jacqueline "Jackie" LaRue Hill

Jackie Hill, 89, passed way on March 18, 2025, at her home in West Valley City, Utah. Jackie was born on September 30, 1935 in Ogden, Utah to Cyrus and Mabel Hughes. Jackie married Keith B. Hill on July 2, 1954, and their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Keith and Jackie divorced in 1992.

Jackie grew up in Wendover, Nevada, and graduated from high school in Elko, Nevada. She moved to Bountiful, Utah for a short time and then moved to Magna, Utah in 1957. She was a stay-at-home mom until 1975. She worked as a school aid at Lake Ridge Elementary and then worked for Utah Central Credit Union. Jackie went on to work for the Salt Lake County Assessor’s office in 1986 and retired in 2000.

Jackie loved her family and getting together as often as possible. She was a tremendous cook and baker, and her home was always filled with goodies. No one ever went hungry. She had a knack for making holidays and birthdays extra special. She was an accomplished golfer and won several ladies’ events around the state. The Hill Family were members of the Copper Golf Club, joining in 1965. Jackie played in the ladies’ league for many years.

Jackie is survived by her sons, Scott, Clark (Debbie), and Andy; grandchildren, Jesse Flores, Jamie (Aaron) Scherzinger, Candace Hill, Drea Hill, Alabama Hill, Cody (Farrah ) Youngberg; great-grandsons, Beckham and Britton Scherzinger; and her sister, Sandy Kimbrell of Sacramento, CA.

She is preceded in death by her precious granddaughter Chelsie Hill.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2025, from 5-7 pm at Peel Funeral Home at 8525 W. Magna Main Street, Magna, UT.
