JAMES JOHN GORIS

April 24, 1965 – January 15, 2022

James John Goris graduated from this mortal life early Saturday morning, January 15, 2022, in the comfort of his own home.  Jim had battled several health issues which ultimately led to his passing.  We will be eternally grateful for the many memories he left with us to look back on and find comfort in, especially in the days to come.

His contagious smile, his sense of humor, his kindness and his love drew us all in.  He always had the right words to say to make you feel loved.  To be a friend of Jim’s was a great blessing indeed!

Jim developed many talents, starting at a very young age.  Jim was the third and youngest child of George and Georgia Goris. From the very beginning there was something special about Jim.  He started at a very early age learning how things worked.  He did this by disassembling any toy he received and tried to reassemble it.  Sometimes he was successful, sometimes not.  As to the times he was not, he would blame the manufacturer for including too many parts.

He loved the outdoors. Before his health prohibited it, he could most often be seen with a fishing pole in his hands.  He truly loved it!

Jim is survived by his wife of 34 years, Samantha along with their 3 sons Chris, Anthony James (A.J.), Travis and daughter Eirress.  He is also survived by 10 beloved grandchildren. He leaves behind his mother, Georgia Goris (Midvale) and his only sister Diane Peck (Randy) Eagle Mountain.

Jim is preceded in death by his father, George W. Goris Sr., his brother, George W. Goris Jr., niece Stephanie Ann Goris and nephew Nicholas Drew Goris.

Funeral services with Zoom will be held on Friday, January 21 at the Lake Ridge 10th Ward Chapel, 8059 W. 2700 So. Magna, Utah.

Viewing will be held Friday January 21st at 10:00 a.m. with funeral services following at 11:00a.m.  Interment will be at Pleasant Greens Cemetery, Magna, Utah.
