James William Jenkins

“Jim”

Jim passed away peacefully while surrounded by his family, January 1, 2016. He was born in Salt Lake City, October 5, 1932 to Leland and Golda Tanner Jenkins. Jim married Josephine Peterson May 1, 1951 and together they raised their 2 daughters. After her death Jim married Dee Carillo Wadsworth.

Jim was proud of his service to our country and retired from the US Air Force. He also retired from both the Union Pacific Railroad and as Deputy Clerk for Guilford County Courts, North Carolina.

Jim is survived by his wife, Dee, children; Karen Jenkins Denny, Debra (Matthew) Hinshaw,  2 step-children, 6 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, sisters; Marge (Gordon) Bird, Sharon Harward.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, wife, Josephine, sister, Shirley, brother, Leland and a great granddaughter, Aubrey Denny.

Funeral services will be held in North Carolina. Jim will be buried next to his first wife.
