Jay W. Kenner Raisor

1933 – 2020

Jay W. Kenner Raisor, 87, died July 22, 2020 at his home. He was born to Ernest Kenner Raisor and Wendella E. Williams June 18, 1933, five minutes before his twin sister Jane Beagley. His older sister Roberta (Bertie-K) Madsen and baby brother Ernest Max are both deceased.

Jay loved to work with leather, wood, and metal, and had a passion for collecting locks and keys. He worked for the Tooele Army Depot, Hercules, and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Jay married Nedra Payne on September 6, 1951. They had six children: David (Dianne) Raisor, Joann (deceased) (Robert) Lang, Susan Young, Julie (Michael) Beagley, J Dan (Heather) Raisor, Carolyn (Todd) Richards. Jay and Nedra later divorced and Nedra passed away in 1993.

Jay married Shirley Rae Evans on July 7, 1987. They had two children: Rachael (Travis) Walker, and Seth (Angela) Raisor, and three grandchildren.

Jay is survived by his wife Shirley, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister, brother, son, and daughter.

Jay’s viewing services will be held at Peel Funeral Home in Magna on July 25, 2020 from 12:30 – 2:30 pm. Private family graveside services.
