It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jeffrey Beesley Pitts. Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, who departed this life peacefully on October 16th, 2024, at the age of 83. Born on July 13th, 1941, in Salt Lake City, Utah, but if you asked him where he is from, he would tell you Butte, Montana where his family moved when he was three. It was in Butte where he met his bride, Jackie Pitts. Married for 65 remarkable years to his loving wife, their union was a testament to enduring love, filled with laughter, loyalty, and shared memories. Together, they built a beautiful family, raising four children, 11 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren with three more on the way. Jeff is survived by his four children: Brent, Jeanine (Randy), Tricia (Mark), and Kathy (Marc), who remember him as a pillar of support, guidance, and unwavering love.
He was not only a devoted father, but also the greatest grandfather, all of whom cherished his stories, advice, and the warmth of his presence. His home was always a place of joy and comfort, filled with laughter and affection. His deep commitment to family and his unwavering faith set an example for all of us to follow in our own lives.
Jeff had a lifelong passion for woodworking and cars. He spent countless hours in his workshop, creating beautiful pieces for his family to treasure forever. Whether restoring a classic car or building something by hand, he approached every project with patience and dedication, sharing his knowledge and skills with those around him. His love of craftsmanship and all things mechanical was just another way he demonstrated his care and creativity.
He lived a life full of integrity, kindness, and generosity. His impact on his community was profound, whether through his work, his friendships, or his endless devotion to his family. He taught us all the meaning of hard work, compassion, and the importance of cherishing every moment with loved ones. He will be forever remembered in the hearts of his family and friends. His memory will continue to live on through the countless lives he touched.
As Jeff stated in his final days, "It's been a good ride." Rest in peace, Jeff. Your love, legacy, and craftsmanship will live on in all of us, guiding us through our lives as you always did.
A graveside service for Jeff will be held at Stansbury Park Cemetery located at E Brigham Rd Tooele, UT 84074, on Saturday, October 19th, 2024, at 11 AM.
