Jessica Harward Simons

It is with great sadness that we mourn the loss of our angel, Jessica Harward Simons “Jessie” who passed away unexpectedly on March 23,  2023. Jessie was born on February 11,1982 to Larry and Janene Harward in Salt Lake City Utah.   Our beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend will be missed deeply.

Jessie's whole life was dedicated to her two children (Lexi and Jaden). Most of her children's lives were enjoyed by her being a stay-at-home mom, this way she was able to be a part of every aspect of their lives. Her most prized accomplishment was being a mother. She greatly enjoyed watching them play sports and spending most of the days outdoors. Her favorite place to take the kids and spend time with her family was in the family cabin.

She spent most of her days blessing everyone around her with her ginormous heart and one-of-a-kind personality. She loved to help where she could and would give her life for someone else’s. She spent the last 9 years giving all of her time to her grandmother and making sure she was taken care of. She and her grandmother created a special bond, they would talk about collecting rocks, old cowboy movies, and stories from when her grandmother was younger. She cherished this time and was able to become the best version of herself any of us had ever seen.

She loved expressing herself with many different hair colors and styles. She was never afraid to just be herself. That's one of the things Jessie was adored for. Her outgoing, funny, crazy, wild, and loving personality. If you ever needed anyone, she was a call away and never had any hesitation. She loved music and would blast it with the windows down, whether it was snow or shine. Her favorite artist was Post Malone. She adored and loved all animals including the family fish tanks and her baby boy Duke who has been lost without her. Jessie will be greatly missed and was taken far too soon from her friends and family.

Preceded in death with her maternal grandparents, Leslie and Lessene Alexander; paternal grandparents, Duane and Arlene Harward; aunts, Louise Hird and Sandy Sheppick; and Cousin, Corriane Hird. She is survived by her parents, Larry and Janene Harward; her brothers, Travis, Brian, and Brandon Harward; sister, Andrea Harward; 8 nieces and nephews; and finally her beloved children, Lexi and Jaden Simons.
