Jim Sadler
1967 ~ 2018
My sweetheart, Jim, passed away peacefully Tuesday morning (September 18th). James Andrew Sadler was born on November 19, 1967 to William H. and Lani K. (Moore) Sadler in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was blessed with a wonderful family—loads of brothers and sisters-- who meant the world to him: Mark; Paul-deceased (Ruby); Pamela (David) Corisis; Janice; Patricia (Joseph) Olbrys; Camille (Greg) Hartley; Michael (Marie); Adam (Sandra); Mary Margaret—deceased, and Benedict Sadler. Jim’s Grandpa Hod Sadler is 102 years old—all of Jim’s life his Grandpa was a shining example for him, as was his Godfather Stan.
Jim graduated from Cyprus High School. He worked in Magna at the G&L beam plant for over 20 years and was currently employed at Rocky Mountain Fabrication.
Jim married me, Janet, on November 22, 2002 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. I brought two children into his life and into the Sadler family: Dustin Nyle Wilkins (deceased) and Leesa (Sam) Eshelman. Jim and his family welcomed and loved my children as if they were his. Our four grandkids were the light of his life: Trieden Anthony Wilkins; Kaleb Sabastian Wilkins; Madison Lee Eshelman and Jaxson Douglas Eshelman. They loved their Papa/Grandpa and delighted in being around him—after all, Jim was just a big kid himself! He spoiled his nieces and nephews when they were little kids and enjoyed them when they were all grown up too. Each one of them had a special place in his heart. “Who loves ya?”
We made our home in Grantsville. Jim enjoyed gardening and yard work, boasting about “the best lawn in the neighborhood.” He was truly an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting big game & birds. Camping and fishing were one of his passions and we spent many happy times around a campfire in the mountains—where Jim felt the most at peace.
Jim was proceeded in death by his parents, infant brother John Thomas, his beloved baby sister Mary, his big brother Paul; and, his “buddy” Milk (Dustin); Grandma Shirley Sadler; Grandpa Leo Moore; Grandma Ruby Moore Anthony; Grandpa Charlie Anthony; and several Aunts and Uncles.
I want to thank “the Boss” (that’s what Jim called Randy ) and Jim’s co-workers who were all there for Jim on Tuesday morning. Kent, you especially…Jim had a lot of respect for you and I’m very grateful you were there. Also a special thanks to my boss, Jason, who comforted me that morning.
