Our beloved mother, daughter, grandmother, and sister, Jodie Lee Batt Kirby passed away June 28, 2010 in West Valley City, Utah.  She has gone to join her brother, Ron and many other loved ones in a better place, leaving her pain and illness behind.

She was born August 5, 1959 in Salt Lake City to Ariel L. "Vern" and Bonnie Batt.  She married Jeff Kirby and later divorced.  They are the parents of Kody, Matthew, and Marcee.

Jodie is survived by her children; very much loved grandkids, Skylar, Hallie, and another on the way; her parents; sisters, Laurie (Kip) Nelson and Cindee Peterson; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by brother, Ronald Vern; and grandparents.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, July 1, 2010 at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 W. 2700 S., Magna, where friends and family may call Thursday 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services.  Interment: Grantsville City Cemetery.  Online condolences: www.peelfuneralhome.com
