Joe Avenicio Vallejos

Joe Avenicio Vallejos, 88 of Magna, Utah passed away on March 6, 2018 in Aztec, New Mexico. He was born August 19, 1929 in Turley, New Mexico to parents Ursulita and Alfredo Vallejos.
Joe came from a large family of 13 brothers and sisters which together developed a love for music. Joe has performed with his brothers, and many other musicians. He also formed a band with his children and nephew called the Vallejos Juniors. Joe was a faithful member of the Spanish Choir for Our Lady of Lourdes in Magna.
Joe is survived by his wife Juanita, children Joey (Lillian), James (Mary), Ann (Annie) (Leo), Elizabeth (Joey), his brothers and sisters Lloyd (Cordy), Alfredo (Jane), Johnny, Ester (Ernaldo), Theresa, Son-In-Law Ben Valerio (Kathy), Daughter-In-Law Martha(Geno). Joe has 21 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Joe also has 9 step-children, and several step grandchildren.
Joe is preceded in death by his parents Ursulita and Alfredo Vallejos. His first wife Sergia Gutierrez, second wife of 50 years Alice Vasquez. His sisters Mary Martinez, Jane Hazen, Martha Herrera. His brothers Eddie, Gilbert, Douglas, and Ronald Vallejos. His daughter Viola Valerio, son Peter Vallejos, and grandson Jason Vallejos.
The family is very grateful and very appreciative of the care he received at the Good Samaritan Society-Four Corners Village.

Services will be Friday March 16, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 2840 S. 9000 W., in Magna, Utah. Family and friends can visit the family one hour prior to the service. A luncheon will be held afterwards.
