Joni Johnson Tucker

Joni Johnson Tucker, our loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt passed away on January 28, 2023 peacefully at home.

Joni was born on December 20, 1955, to Douglas Wayne Johnson and Karen Kesler in Pocatello, Idaho. She was the eldest of four children.

On July 27, 1991, she married her soul mate, Richard Lyle Tucker. They were happily married for 31 years. Together they raised her two children from a previous marriage in a home they made in West Valley City, Utah.

Joni’s greatest joy in life was being a grandmother to her four grandchildren. She spent hours attending sporting events and cheerleading competitions with them. She enjoyed sitting around the kitchen table playing board and card games with her family.

Vacationing in Hawaii with Richard were some of her fondest memories. She loved going to the outdoor swap meet, shopping in Lahaina, whale watching and snorkeling.

Joni is survived by her loving husband Richard, children Andrea “Andy” Lee Dobrin and Matthew Ryan Dobrin, grandchildren: Carson Matthew Dobrin, Kendall Brooke Dobrin, Boston Andrea Dobrin and Bentlee Rae Dobrin.  Siblings: Douglas Kirk (Sharon) Johnson, Kathy (Brent) Beckstead and Steven (Teri) Johnson, step siblings: Jaime (Shane) Lish, Quinn (Cheri) Harsh, Kelly Harsh and Kerry Harsh, stepmother June Johnson along with numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

A visitation will be held Monday, February 6, 2023 from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. with a service at 12 noon at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 W. Magna Main St. Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.
