Shawn has Jonah, Abby, and Shawn. Kathy always took care of those around her she took in many people and made them family. Kris Jensen and her two children Emmalee and Lucas Gordon were considered sister and grandchildren. For many years Kathy worked at Hill Haven nursing home where she "volunteered" her two oldest boys to push the patients through the Hogle Zoo, she impacted many lives there. She even told her nurses she created the warm water in a glove to heat up a patients hand before checking their oxygen level. She worked for Kuwana as well as Redwood Recreation Center.
Kathy was very good at crocheting and always had a blanket made for someone for Christmases and birthdays. Many babies received baby blankets from her as well. She made her grandchildren feel special in any way that was possible spoiling was her game and she was very good at it. She fought a valiant battle against diabetes and many sicknesses for over 25 years. She fought to the end and made sure we were all taken care of before she left to make way for us in the next life. She always saw the good side of people, even if they gave her every reason to doubt them. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, her nephew Patrick and brother in law Michael Connell. She leaves behind her husband, parents, siblings, sons, and daughter in law, grandchildren, and many others whose lives she touched. Through her last few days many people reach out to her family to comfort them with memories of heroism and unconditional love for anyone that come into her life. We would like to thank Rocky Mountain Hunter Hollow for the love and care they gave Kathy with the remaining days of her life.
