Katie Lee Beach, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away on October 6, 2017 at the age of 65, after a long battle with cancer. Katie was born on February 20, 1952 in Sigourney,  Iowa to Willard and Lora Utterback. She married Alan R Beach on February 25, 1970. The couple lived in many locations but settled down to raise their family in Magna, Utah. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, gardening, quilting, arts and crafts, and teaching the children at school. Between raising her own kids and teaching she enjoyed 47 years making a difference with children. She is survived by her husband Alan R Beach and four children: Rob Beach (Tara Day), Melinda (Shane) Martinez, Kevin Beach (Portia Phillips), Andrew (Cami) Beach, six grandchildren: Jordan (April), Brandi (Dominique), Matthew, Madison, Legacy, AJ, and three great grandchildren: Braxton, Jackson, Aubrey, brothers: Poodie Utterback, Danny (Gidget) Utterback, sisters: Barb (Pat) Clarahan, Sue (Carl) Hadley.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday October 11, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 West 2700 South, Magna, Utah.

Katie will be laid to rest immediately following services at  Pleasant Green Cemetery, 9200 West 3500 South, Magna, Utah.
