Constantine Thomas Nicholes was a man who loved his family. Protected and provided. Championed the good in you when you doubted yourself. Cheered, “Drive It!”, at every baseball game, loudly. Named a flower after his daughter, gently. Measured Twice but cut once. Built stilts for his kids, a camper for vacations, corral panels, goose decoys, tire ramps. He could bugle like an elk to draw them in on a hunt - or just for family entertainment. Loved his family, fiercely. Loved Bobby for 64 years. She loved him too.

Kay met Bobby at the Rose Bowl in Stockton, Utah and swept her off her feet. He drove a 1953 Chevy Belair at the time and used it to take Bobby dancing at the Great Saltair. Life began for both of them when they were married in 1956. With her he built a home, started a life, and raised a family who was proud of him.

He was thirty years as a Master Electrician at Kennecott, during that time he was awarded Craftsman of the year. Following his retirement, he worked as a Maintenance Supervisor for the State of Utah for ten more years. From ages 23-25 he served in the United States Army. He was based in Germany and White Sands, New Mexico, working on the Red Stone Missile project. He loved the men in his troop, and he loved this country.

He loved horses. The smell of them, their loyalty, their strength, the reminder of the calm they gave him when he hunted on horseback high in the Uintahs. His skill as a horseman was refined as a boy as he charged around Magna on King and Queen shouting “out of my way, I’m coming through.” He taught his kids to ride on Lady and Baby Toots. He shared saltines over the fence with Leon Jr. and Cannon Boy, became his Soul mate in his later years. He loved cattle drives in the west desert with his friend Bill and his brother Jimmy. He loved the freedom of eagles soaring in the open mountain sky. But he loved the horses first.

He is survived by his wife Bobby, Roberta Cowan Nicholes. His son Nunny T. Nicholes, wife Lisa, and grandson Walker. His Daughter Molly K. Nicholes, husband Theodore Jones, and grandchildren Gaeble and Apollo. His siblings James and Sharon Nicholes, Jay and Norma Nicholes, and deceased sister Caroline and Bob Jacobson.

Family first in all things will be what he is remembered for. A man, in the best meaning of the word. Loyal, trustworthy, confident, and kind.
