Kay Romrell

Kay Romrell was born Nov. 9. 1954 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Rollo S. Romrell and Amelia Newman Romrell. She died May 28, 2018 in Magna, Utah. Kay grew up in the towns of Garfield and Magna Utah. She attended Webster and Lake Ridge Elementary Schools. She attended Brockbank Junior High and graduated from Cyprus High School in 1973.

Kay worked one summer at Kearns recreational swimming pool and then upon graduation from high school went to work for the LDS Church in the Records Department where she worked for more than 42 years of service, retiring in November, 2016.

Kay loved going on vacations with her siblings, Sherry and Ken. They were on vacation in California during the 6.6 earthquake of 1994. She enjoyed music and had a collection of over 1200 records. Kay loved to crochet and make doll clothes and pillows. She and Sherry collected dolls and ceramics.

Kay is preceded in death by her two sisters, Pat and Sharon, and her Mother and Father. She is survived by her brothers, David, Lee (Martha), Ronn (Lynne), and Ken. She is also survived by her three wonderful nieces, Peggy (Tom), Penny, and Susan (Alan), and one nephew, Mike. Thanks to Lee’s adult children and Peggy and Cristy for helping with Kay’s home. We miss you Kay.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, June 5, 2018, at Bountiful Cemetery at 11:00 am.
