Kaye Leone Burrell Mindar age 54 passed away in the early morning hours of Monday May 9th 2016 at her home in El Paso Texas.
Kaye was born to Keith Burrell and Ada Mae Callister Burrell on January 12th 1962 at the LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City Utah. Her Father still remembers being brought into the room to see his beautiful redheaded baby girl.
She Graduated from Cyprus High School in 1980. While attending Kaye participated in the Ski and Pep Clubs, while also working her first job at KFC.
She was on Genola City Council for several years, and also served the Genola community as an EMT and Volunteer Firefighter during that time. Her mother Ada Mae was a nurse and Kaye helped inspire her 3 kids to carry on the medical legacy for a 3rd generation.
Kaye married Daniel George Mindar in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on November 9th 1983; later divorced. They were blessed with three children Joseph Keith (Kendall B.), Katy Beth (Chris) Anderson , and Melissa Elaine.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed volunteering with the Cub Scouts when her son was a member. And after moving to El Paso she loved working with the primary children in her church ward.
She was scared to start her life anew in El Paso Texas in late 2013. However it wasn't long till she made many friends and called El Paso home.
She will be remembered for her beautiful and friendly smile. She always a had heart warming story about her childhood. She loved her 7 young grandchildren more than anything and cherished every moment she could spend with them.
She had a love for animals after growing up with chicken, quail, and ducks in her back yard. She continued this tradition with her children and taught them to love and care for animals. (It didn't hurt that her younger brother Walter is a Veterinarian and also helped care for the Mindar children's pets.)
Kaye is survived by her father and stepmother, Keith and Mary Ann Burrell. Two Sisters: Debra Burrell and LuCinda Burrell Howell, one Brother: Walter "Steve" Burrell and Stepsisters: Leigh Ann Woodman Rowley, Janel Moulton, Robin McAfee, Leslie Devey Moulton, and Terra Garvoille.
She is preceded in death by her mother Ada, brother Michael Keith Burrell, and Sister Kathrine Burrell.
You will be forever in our hearts. We love you mom.
